Molecular pathogenesis of multi-drug resistant bacteria 

With expertise in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and models of infection, we examine the molecular pathways multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus employs to scavenge vital nutrients during an infection.

innate immune recognition

We use state-of-the-art imaging techniques to examine how innate immune cells restrict nutrients from pathogens to control infection.

Partnering with clinicians and collaborators globally, we investigate the molecular basis of new and emerging staphylococcal pathogens.
